My story

I’ve always been fascinated by people. One of my life mottos is simple: people are my favorite.

What makes us come alive. What makes us shut down. Why incredibly capable leaders can walk confidently into a team meeting and still quietly wonder if they’re enough. Why some teams trust each other and others don’t. Why we avoid the conversations we most need to have.

I sometimes joke that I’m a business therapist—minus the therapist part. I’m not a therapist, but much of my work happens beneath the surface of business. Strategy matters. Results matter. But behind every business problem are human beings with identities, emotions, relationships, insecurities, hopes, and fears. That’s usually where I want to start.

After serving as a pastor for ten years, I spent seven years living and working in Africa, primarily in South Africa and Tanzania. Those years profoundly shaped how I see people, culture, leadership, and the world.

Later, while earning my Master’s in Leadership, I researched insecurity—partly to better understand leaders and partly to better understand myself. That curiosity about what’s happening underneath the confident exterior has never left me.

In 2018, I founded Integer Network, a nonprofit coaching community built around authenticity, human connection, wholeness, and the belief that coaching can change lives. What began as an idea has grown into an international organization with a presence in South Africa, Uganda, and Tanzania, along with INCA (Integer Network Coaching Academy), an ICF-recognized coach-training program. Watching Integer grow beyond me and thrive under new leadership is one of the things I’m proudest of.

Business has shaped me too. I come from a real estate family and spent seven years building and running a real estate business with my sister. It gave me an inside view of entrepreneurship—the pressure, money, clients, employees, decisions, risk, growth, and relationships that make business both exhilarating and exhausting.

Today, I’m all in on executive coaching and leadership development. I coach executives, business owners, partners, and leadership teams independently and through NoviEdge, Epic Rivers Leadership, and Integer Network. My work tends to find its way into the places where business gets especially human: identity, communication, conflict, trust, partnership, transition, succession, growth, and change.

I believe people lead better when they know who they are. Teams work better when people trust each other. Difficult conversations get easier when somebody is willing to tell the truth with kindness. And organizations are healthier—and ultimately more successful—when the humans inside them are healthy too.

I love people. I love business. And I love helping the people who lead businesses become more fully themselves and lead others well. That’s the work I want to spend the rest of my life doing.
